Renowned Cookbook author and authority on Mediterranean cuisine, Diane Kochilas honors traditional Greek cuisine by bringing fresh, wholesome cooking from all regions of Greece to the East Village as the consulting Chef of PYLOS.
To get things really cooking in the restaurant, PYLOS looked to generate local interest and foot traffic at all times throughout the year.
Food Shelter capitalized on the cuisine, the Chef and timeliness of the season to assemble month-long festivals that kicked off with a press dinner and featured a special addendum menu. The special menus reflected seasonal recipes and ingredients highlighted during the month-long festival. Starting on the first day of Spring, an artichoke festival heralded great success as did a summertime yogurt festival which grew a beneficial partnership between Fage and PYLOS as well focusing on cool, summertime yogurt-infused Greek dishes.
